User Roles & Permissions
Understanding access control and role-based permissions
Built-in Roles
Arcliance provides several pre-configured roles to match common compliance team structures:
Administrator
Full access to all features including user management, settings, and integrations. Can configure compliance policies and approve any transaction.
Compliance Officer
Access to compliance features, screening, and transaction approvals. Can manage policies but cannot modify system settings.
Export Analyst
Can create and manage transactions, trading partners, and products. Limited approval authority based on transaction value.
Viewer
Read-only access to transactions and reports. Cannot create or modify any records.
Permission Categories
Permissions are organized into the following categories:

Managing Users
Administrators can manage users from Settings > Team:
- Click Invite User to add team members
- Enter their email address and select a role
- They will receive an invitation email to set up their account
- Edit existing users to change roles or deactivate accounts
Custom Roles
Enterprise customers can create custom roles with specific permission combinations. Contact your account manager to enable this feature.
